According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, every 2 minutes someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. There are, of course, other countries with much higher rates of rape. I am reluctant to attempt a list of the worst as reported (and estimated) rates vary, depending upon the data source. The small African country of Lesotho seems to be at the top, or near the top of many lists, but rape is widespread elsewhere in Africa, in the United Kingdom, Europe, North and South America and in the Far East.
